  • Envisage (verb) – परिकल्पना
    Meaning – Contemplate or conceive of as a possibility or a desirable future event.
    Synonyms – foresee, predict, forecast.

  • Obligation (noun) कर्तव्य
    Meaning – An act or course of action to which a person is morally or legally bound; a duty or commitment.

    Meaning – produce something.
  • Bank on (phrasal verb) 
    Meaning – rely on, depend on, count on.
  • Encryption (noun) 
    Meaning – the process of encoding a message or information to protect from unauthorized person.

    Meaning – indirect ways to do something intended.
  • Stringent (adjective) – कड़ी से कड़ी, कठोर
    Meaning – (of regulations, requirements, or conditions) strict, precise, and exacting.
    Synonyms – strict/stern, severe, tough/rigorous.
    Sentence – This is now rare, as there are stringent regulations to limit exposure to such a hazard.

    Meaning – A check or restraint on something.

  • Sectarian (adjective) सांप्रदायिक
    Meaning – denoting a sect (a group of people)

    Sentence – Well first of all I don’t think of religion at all in sectarian terms.
  • Lynch-mob (noun) बेकायदा प्राणदंड देने वाली भीड़
    Meaning – a group of people punishing/killing someone by hanging for claimed offence without legal trail.
    Sentence – Democracy is a wonderful thing, but lynch mobs can vote, too.
  • Strike a balance (phrase) 
    Meaning – find a fair & reasonable line of action between two contrasting things.
  • Salutary (adjective) – लाभदायक
    Meaning – (especially with reference to something unwelcome or unpleasant) producing good effects; beneficial.
    Synonyms – beneficial/productive, good, practical.
    Sentence – A rise in joblessness could cancel out the strong euro’s salutary effect on consumer spending.
