Dialects of Kumaon Division<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

  1. Askoti\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0The dialects spoken\u00a0under Askot<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0in the north-east of the Sera region in\u00a0\u00a0Pithoragarh <\/strong>district are called Askoti.\u00a0<\/strong>This dialect is heavily influenced by the mixed dialects Serali, Nepali and Johari<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Sirali\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>\u2013\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0In the Sirali\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>region, the Sira dialect is called Sirali.\u00a0The area west of Askot and east of Gangoli <\/strong>is\u00a0\u00a0called Sira.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Soryali\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0The dialect \u00a0of\u00a0\u00a0Sor pargana of\u00a0<\/strong>Pithoragarh <\/strong>district\u00a0\u00a0is Soryali.<\/span><\/li>\n

Kumayyan\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0Kali is the dialect spoken under the Kumaon region<\/strong>,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0the influence of this dialect is up\u00a0to Panar<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0Saryu<\/strong> in the north,\u00a0\u00a0Kali <\/strong>in\u00a0the east ,\u00a0\u00a0Devidura <\/strong>in the west\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0Tanakpur <\/strong>in the south .<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n

Gangoli\u00a0\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0This dialect, spoken\u00a0\u00a0under Gangolihat,<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0is influenced by this dialect till\u00a0Danpur in the west<\/strong>,\u00a0\u00a0Saryu<\/strong> in the south,\u00a0\u00a0Ramganga <\/strong>in the\u00a0north \u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0Tire in the east .<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Danpuria\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0This dialect \u00a0of\u00a0\u00a0Danpur Pargana of <\/strong>Almora <\/strong>district\u00a0\u00a0is called Danpuria.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Chaugarkhriya\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0Kali is spoken from the north-west of Kumaon <\/strong>to\u00a0\u00a0the\u00a0\u00a0west<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0of\u00a0\u00a0Barmandal Pargana<\/strong>\u00a0in the west \u00a0.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Khasparjia\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0Spoken \u00a0under\u00a0\u00a0Barmandal Pargana of <\/strong>Almora<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Pachhai\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>Under the Pali region of\u00a0<\/strong>Almora <\/strong>district,<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0this dialect\u00a0 is affected up to\u00a0Faldkot, Ranikhet, Dwarhat, Masi and Chaukhutia<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0.<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Rau-Choubhensi\u00a0\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0This dialect is spoken in\u00a0\u00a0the\u00a0\u00a0Rau<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0\u00a0Chaubhensi region of\u00a0<\/strong>North-Eastern Nainital district .<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Dialects of Garhwal Division<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

    1. Badhani\u00a0\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0Spoken in the region between Pindar and Alaknanda<\/strong> river.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Manjh Kumaiyan\u00a0\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0In this dialect, the\u00a0\u00a0word Kumaon is also mixed<\/strong>\u00a0with many words \u00a0.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Srinagari\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0This type of dialect is spoken \u00a0in the areas near\u00a0Pauri Deval <\/strong>under\u00a0the ancient capital of Garhwali,\u00a0 Srinagar.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Salani\u00a0\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0This dialect is called Salani\u00a0under the Salan region .<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    5. Nagpuria\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0This dialect is called Nagpuria in the areas falling\u00a0under Nagpur belt of Chamoli <\/strong>district.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    6. Gangparia\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0This dialect is spoken\u00a0under the Tehri region .<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
    7. Lohabya\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0This dialect has influence in the areas of Lohab Patti<\/strong>, Khansar<\/strong> and Gairsain<\/strong>, adjacent to Rath<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
    8. Rathi\u00a0\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0The areas adjoining the Kumaon border<\/strong>, Dudhatoli<\/strong>, Vinsar<\/strong> and Thalisain<\/strong> etc. are called Raths.\u00a0Under these regions this dialect is called Rathi.<\/span><\/li>\n
    9. Dasaulya\u00a0\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0This dialect is called Dasaulya in Dasoli<\/strong> area under Nagpur belt<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
