The Khatima Bullet Incident (Goli Kand) took place on September 1, 1994 in Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar<\/strong> district. The Mussoorie Shootout<\/strong> (Goli Kand)<\/strong> took place on September 2, 1994<\/strong>, the very next day of the Khatima Goli Kand.<\/span><\/p>\n

The voice for a separate state in Uttarakhand was first raised<\/strong> at a special session of the Indian National Congress held in Srinagar on 5-6 May 1938<\/strong>. But after many years of tireless hard work and sacrifices, the state of Uttaranchal (Present-day Uttarakhand)<\/strong> was established on November 9, 2000,<\/strong> for which many movements took place and many people had to sacrifice their lives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

September 1, 1994<\/strong> is considered to be the dark day of the Uttarakhand state movement, as a procession was being carried out peacefully at Khatima crossroads by the agitators for a separate Uttarakhand state in Khatima.\u00a0 But the policeman’s voice of unarmed agitators who used to suppress introduced his vandalism, Which was not seen anywhere else before this.\u00a0In this movement, the indiscriminate firing was carried out on the agitators without warning by the police, resulting in the death of seven agitators.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
