Can you say it in such a way that it does?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Answer &#8211; <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">No, \u2018Dyin\u2019 does not rhyme with \u2018lion\u2019. If we change the pronunciation of lion by speaking it as \u2018lying\u2019 then it may rhyme with the word \u2018dyin\u2019.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">2. <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">How does the poet suggest that you identify the lion and the tiger? When can you do so according to him?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Answer &#8211; <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A lion is a large and tawny beast. A Bengal Tiger has black stripes on its yellow coat. A lion roars when it falls upon its prey, while a tiger attacks silently. We can identify the two while roaming in the jungle.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">3. <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Do you think the words \u2018lept\u2019 and \u2018lep\u2019 in the third stanza are spelt correctly? Why does the poet spell them like this?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Answer &#8211; <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">These words are not spelt correctly. The poet spells them on his own. He does so to create rhyming between them and an eating effect of the tiger.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">4. <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Do you know what a \u2018bearhug\u2019 is? It\u2019s a friendly and strong hug-such as bears are thought to give, as they attack you! Again, hyenas are thought to laugh and crocodiles to weep (\u2018crocodile tears\u2019) as they swallow their victims. Are there similar expressions and popular ideas about wild animals in your own language (s)?<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Answer &#8211; <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A &#8216;bearhug&#8217; is the bear&#8217;s tight embrace. Hyenas never laugh. But their faces look like that. These are for example : Kirk is used for &#8216;church&#8217; to rhyme With Work&#8217;. Ken is used for &#8216;see&#8217; to rhyme with &#8216;pen&#8217;.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">7. <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Much of the humour in the poem arisesfrom the way language is used. Although the ideas are funny as well. If there are particular lines in the poem that you especially like, share these lines with the class, speaking briefly about what it is about the ideas or the language that you like or find funny.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Answer &#8211; <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The way the poet has used language and ideas in the poem is indeed humourous. The lines from the poem that appears to be funny are \u201cA noble wild beast greets you\u201d. The idea that a wild beast is going to welcome you is quite funny. The language in the line, \u201cHe\u2019ll only lep and lep again\u201d is also very humorous.
