\n(<\/span>Beauty)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

Beauty is seen
\nIn the sunlight,
\nThe trees, the birds,
\nCorn growing and people working
\nOr dancing for their harvest.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beauty is heard
\nIn the night,
\nWind sighing, rain falling,
\nOr a singer chanting
\nAnything in earnest.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beauty is in yourself.
\nGood deeds, happy thoughts
\nThat repeat themselves
\nIn your dreams,
\nIn your work,
\nAnd even in your rest.<\/span><\/p>\n

Working with the Poem<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0The poet says, \u201cBeauty is heard in \u2026\u201d
\n<\/span><\/strong>Can you hear beauty? Add a sound that you think is beautiful to the sounds the poet thinks are beautiful.
\n<\/span>The poet, Keats, said:
\n<\/span>Heard melodies are sweet,
\n<\/span>But those unheard are sweeter.
\n<\/span>What do you think this means? Have you ever \u2018heard\u2019 a song in your head, long after the song was sung or played?<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer – <\/strong>We do hear beautiful sounds. For instance, when a guitarist plays a guitar, when a cuckoo sings, when the rain drops fall on the ground, when a soft breeze flows, etc.
\n<\/span>\u201c<\/strong>Heard melodies are sweet,
\n<\/span>But those unheard are sweeter.\u201d
\n<\/strong><\/span>This means that our imagination can go beyond and be even more beautiful than reality. Heard melodies are the ones which are actually being played around. But the unheard are the ones that our mind plays in our heart, and such sound is sweeter and closer to our heart.
\n<\/span>Yes, I have heard songs in my head, long after the song was sung or played. Those are my most favourite songs.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2. Read the first and second stanzas of the poem again. Note the following phrases.
\n<\/span><\/strong>corn growing, people working or dancing, wind sighing, rain falling, a singer chanting
