Poem – 2

How bright on the blue
\nIs a kite when it\u2019s new!<\/span><\/p>\n

With a dive and a dip
\nIt snaps its tail<\/span><\/p>\n

Then soars like a ship
\nWith only a sail<\/span><\/p>\n

As over tides
\nOf wind it rides,<\/span><\/p>\n

Climbs to the crest
\nOf a gust and pulls,<\/span><\/p>\n

Then seems to rest
\nAs wind falls.<\/span><\/p>\n

When string goes slack
\nYou wind it back<\/span><\/p>\n

And run until
\nA new breeze blows<\/span><\/p>\n

And its wings fill

Dip \u2013<\/strong> to enter into water momentarily<\/span><\/p>\n

Snaps \u2013<\/strong> to make a sharp or crackling sound<\/span><\/p>\n

Soars \u2013<\/strong> to fly aloft<\/span><\/p>\n

Rides \u2013<\/strong> to sit and travel on the back of an animal<\/span><\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Try to make a kite with your friends. Collect the things required such as color paper\/newspaper, thread, glue, a thin stick that can be bent. After making the kite see if you can fly it.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Answer –\u00a0<\/strong>This question requires the students to use their creative imagination in creating hand-made kites.<\/span><\/p>\n

A specific paper i.e. the kite paper along with the basic adhesive glue, a thin but strong stick in order to provide stability to the kite can be used to make bright and colourful kites.<\/span><\/p>\n

NOTE \u2013<\/strong> This is a fun activity. Students can freely make their choice of kites using various materials.<\/span><\/p>\n
